Let me just get this straight: these guys piss me off. Not that I don't love them, and don't talk to them all the time, but it always pisses me off when a band makes a great record and then breaks up. I had just released "Experiment Farm Road," and had already recorded "Martian Chronicles" and "Theories of Jet Propulsion," when Eric and Thadd asked me to record their pop/punk bar band. I had seen them play three or four times and thought they were a lot of fun. I was nervous about recording someone else's songs, but it actually turned out great. We did the whole album in 4 days in my house and we drank a lot of beer. There are flaws (both on the band's part, and on mine), but for a hundred bucks, you couldn't ask for a better record. "Casual Chaos" was even mastered, the artwork finished, and sent off to the factory, then…lost by the post office for six months. By the time it resurfaced, the band was over. But I'm looking forward to more rock by these guys, after all, they were only 18 to 20 years old when this one was made, and some of the songs are so damn good. Hopefully they'll resurface someday. But, for now, if you want a copy of this, I'm sure Eric would be happy to run one off for you…
