Well, since the KING DROOPY disc never came out, this stands as my debut as an outside act producer, although Eric Appleby helped me considerably. Obviously, I got involved in this because of Paris and Bench, but it was a good experience helping VORTEX capture their great sound. Their songs are simply incredible. "Jackpot Medley" stands as one of my faves ever penned by someone I directly know. They're miracle workers with pop structure, and their punk roots make everything really breathe.

UPDATE: January 2022! This has FINALLY been released to download and streaming providers after a legthy rights debacle. Hooray! Check it out alongside the band's excellent second album from like four years ago. Also, not sure when this happened, but the band seems to go by "7 SPEED VORTEX" instead of "SEVEN SPEED VORTEX" now.
