This wasn't an official release, just demos for the second album, but I thought I'd remark on it anyway. By the time we got our asses into the studio we were all about to kill each other. Lots of no-shows for rehearsals, lots of bickering, lots of alcohol & other substances. As a band, we had been writing a good amount of material, most of it pretty bad, and were trying to transition from a pop band to a rock band, with only marginal success. There were just too many cooks in the kitchen. Almost the same pattern would repeat with OO OO WA. These five songs were probably the best of our later period tunes, but I can't listen to these recordings without sensing the strain in the band. |
